We’re proud to announce that Tyron Brett has officially achieved his full QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) qualification as an Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner.
This milestone is particularly meaningful for the team at Hesscon, as Tyron is our first trainee to complete this rigorous certification. Over the past year, he has dedicated himself to intensive self-study and mentorship by the team, culminating in a challenging final examination requiring a minimum pass mark of 80%. In addition to earning the QCTO qualification, Tyron is now eligible for Technician-level membership with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH).
A delighted Tyron gave full credit to the training he received from the Hesscon team. “As much as I put a lot in,” he said, “you all played a crucial role in making it happen.”
He personally thanked Sam van Niekerk for always being available and guiding him through the process, Sharon van den Heever for supporting him with calls and guidance sessions, and to Brian van den Heever, “for pushing me so hard and making me want to prove I could do it!”
“This isn’t just my result,” he said. “It’s OUR result – and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
